Gyan Yog Breath provides an excellent Yoga Alliance US and International approved 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program for teaching Gyan Yoga, best suited for winning over emotional blockage, the rare and only Yoga teacher training  program which offers so much apart from basic teacher training.

The entire team of 10 instructors is reachable to make sure you feel safe, happy and understood. At the Info round (the evening before course start) you will be given all necessities like a new yoga mat, two-course books, cleansing materials, one mala, t-shirt and Rudraksh Mala.

All yoga levels are welcome from beginner to advanced. As one of the oldest and most experienced yoga schools in Rishikesh.

Classes are held Mondays to Saturdays from 06:00 to 19:30. On Sundays, you can choose to relax and rejuvenate or join one of our planned trips (cave meditation, city trip, trekking, waterfall trip).


All course materials, props and teacher training programs are registered and approved by Yoga Alliance. Students who complete their subsequent training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

Post completion, you will have a yoga diploma for the 200 hours yoga teacher training, recognized by the International Yoga Federation and makes you eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. The course is also certified by the Indian Yoga Alliance for 200-hour yoga teacher training. After successful completion of the training, you can register with Yoga Alliance. For registration, you need to login to their website, and after filling needed information, you will get registered.

  • 1) Hatha Yoga AsanaYogic postures comprise four hours of the daily schedule. You will be introduced to the various asanas in a systematic manner with a progressively increasing level of difficulty. Once the basics are mastered, asana flows, adjustments and subtle aspects of breath & awareness will be brought into focus. During the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training you will:2) Emotional Blockage TreatmentEmotional Blockage Treatment is a sacred healing therapy that aims to implement emotional freedom, peace and detoxification. Through pressing certain points in your body, accumulated energy blockages are removed and the energy can flow at its maximum again. Accumulated energy blockages result in depression, anxiety and various physical and mental diseases.3) Ashtanga Vinyasa

    You will learn the primary Ashtanga Sequence, Sun Salutation Variations, Counter-Poses and Benefits.

    4) Ayurveda

    The Ayurveda Classes cover the Introduction to Ayurveda, Doshas, Gunas, Dietary Recommendations etc

    5) Adjustment

    You will learn how to adjust asanas and understand how adjustment can deepen your practice. You will cover their benefits, modifications and cautions. We use different props such as bolsters, belts, pillows and blocks to maximize the effect.

    6) Pranayama (breathing techniques)

    You will learn techniques to work with vital energy centers in the body with the goal of becoming proficient enough to teach these skills to your students.

    7) Shatkarma (cleansing techniques)

    Yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into the daily morning schedule and will work in conjunction with the asana practices.

    8) Meditation

    You will cover a range of meditation techniques that will help build concentration and focus in your daily practice. Techniques include Om chanting, Chakra and Power of Transformation meditation.

    9) Mantras (chanting)

    A range of mantras will be taught including the Gayatri Mantra and many more. Find your inner harmony in these sessions.

    12) Yoga Philosophy

    This class will focus on introducing you to the basic philosophy, concepts and history of yoga. It will cover the various traditional philosophies and viewpoints, insights from modern research and ways in which the essence of this holistic life-view can be integrated into a modern lifestyle. During your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will cover:

    • Yoga Sutras: parts of the Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra
    • 8 limbs  of Ashtangayoga
    • How to overcome Panch-klesha: the five causes of pain and miseries
    • The philosophy behind Raj yoga and Hatha yoga

    13) Teaching Methodology

    This class will give you the necessary blocks to devise your own yoga class. Learn how to motivate your students by teaching inclusively to the range of abilities that you may be faced with.

    Teaching Practise is the last practical part of the course. You will:

While attending this course you will be putting up in Gyan Yoga Ashram, which is spacious 20 rooms building, for comfortable and hygienic stay.  This place is peaceful and is located near raja ji national park, which is on outskirts of the city

This ashram has private, twin sharing and quadruple sharing rooms. Each room has its own bathroom with hot water rain shower, balcony or small terrace, desk, wardrobe and sitting space. All rooms have high ceilings, big windows and lots of natural light coming in.

The yoga hall has a 180-degree panorama view over the National Park, Ganges River and Visthapit residency area. Gyan Yog Breath offer paid laundry services (washing, drying, ironing) and filtered drinking water facilities. Ashram provides bed sheets, pillows, toilet paper, blanket, towels and other basic amenities.

Fresh vegetarian meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner is served to all Teacher training aspirants.
